Agreed with the ladies above.. Read my Signature Dates for an idea of the upcoming process times....

Best of luck on your journey!

~ Jan ??,2013 ~ Service Center ~ Vermont I-129F Packet sent

NOTE: Actual sent date unknown due to lawyer negligence - I delivered ALLForms and PAID Lawyer on Nov 7, 2012 - Lawyer kept saying he sent the packet and USCIS must have lost it. When in reality he failed to send the package and only a new copy to USCIS after I made a legal written demand giving him 10 days to perform or return ALL monies paid to him, due to "non-performance".

(IMO it's better to save your money for visits to or from your Fiancé and just fill it out yourself using the K-1 Guide on VJ and Senior Members... They Rock!!!)

If it hasn't been scheduled emailing serves nothing. It takes two days for a reply. Your best option is calling DOS at (202) 485-7600. They will tell you as soon as your scheduled. You can call everyday as I did lol.

Also your case status gets updated before you get your date set up. After it gets sent to DR it changed twice that second status update (new date) is an indicator that you have been scheduled.

Yes I agree! DOS CSR is very very helpful...Trying to contact the consulate is tiring!

Is this on the ceac.state.gov site?

DR receives your case electronically first and it will say Ready but they won't schedule interview until its received by DHL where your status date will update for the second time and they will schedule you when its your turn and they have an opening.. Be Patient. this confused me too during my process. I always emailed them and received clear info than calling DOS. Even though they share the same system the liaison at the embassy who replies knows a little more about the DR process than DOS because they are in DR vs DOS who is answering for all countries. That is if you are desperate DOS will inform you of the date as well if you call everyday.
