HI All,

I have been reading through some of the posts of the forum to try and answer the questions I have. However, Im still unsure.

Therefore I will explain the situation I am in and hopefully somebody can help.

Im about to fill in and send of form I-751. However, my wife (a US citizen) and I just moved up from the states, to both start work in Canada for the same company. We are hear purely for a year (just less than) and then will be returning to the states. The problem I have is im unsure which address to put on the form. The last address the USCIS has for me is my father in laws address in Kentucky, as this is where we were just prior to us moving to Canada. Therefore should I put this address as the physical address on the form? Or do I put my current address in Canada on the form and add a cover letter explaining that im just temporarily working in Canda with my wife and will be returning to the states in less than a year. We still have an american bank account, credit cards etc and will be filing taxes.

As we are just up in B.C travelling back for the biometrics and possibly the interview isnt a problem at all. Im just not sure which address to put on the from.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If you require any additional information please let me know.

Thanks.

Is there a box on that form for physical address and mailing address? I can't remember. If so, that would be a possibility. Otherwise, I would say Canada. it is okay to file I-751 from abroad.

Theres a section for both a phyiscal address and mailing address.

So I would say... Physical, Canada. Mailing, your in-law's in the US.

Make sure you are clear in your cover letter that this is a temporary move, with expected return date, etc.
