Hi all,

I am in US with J1 visa. I am not sure whether 2-year home country residence rule applies to me or not. Therefore, I sent advisory opinion request to Waiver Review Division of US Department of State. I completed the survey and filled out requested information on-line (https://j1visawaiver...tion.state.gov/), printed request form and sent it with copies of DS-2019 and passport, visa, etc. I sent it via overnight express mail a week ago. It is supposed to be delivered at least five-business days ago. But when I try to check my status on-line with my case number, I still see the following message.

"Currently, there is no information regarding the status of your case. If you would like additional information, please call Public Inquiries at 202-663-1225."

Is it normal?

How long will it take for me to see any status on-line? Does anybody have any experiences?
