RFE Income ?

FFS, ok, so I knew I'd be getting an RFE for missing income tax returns......BUT, above and beyond that, they are also seeing besides the Federal Income Tax Return submitted to the IRS, they also say

(well the boxes are x'ed )

The petitioners income does not meet or exceed 125% poverty line (ummm he makes plenty), then goes on to say The petitioner lists their income as an amount to be considered as sufficient, however, no evidence was submitted SO, please submit

Letter of employment

Nature of employment

wages/salary

# of hours per week etc

etc etc

also,again another box saying he does not meet or exceed so submit, assets etc...

So??? if we send in the IRS transcripts, do we still need to send in all this other info?? Or will the transcripts be enough?? Just not sure why all three boxes are checked off, if he DOES meet requirements and we send in the transcripts? anyone else get this RFE??

Of course you do and that info isn't by any means redundant. It proves petitioner still makes plenty above poverty level, rather than (for example) was making it last year but has been laid off two months ago. Include paystubs too or actually maybe read I-864 instructions in case you missed something else...

Just an FYI to you and others. This is wy we say get Tax transcripts. A Tax return you filld out is no proof of filing. But the tax transcript i. Thats why they really want proof. Many people have doctored up very nice Tax returns and employment letters and even pay stubs. So redundant no.

In addition to tax transcripts, you need to show proof of current employment, either a letter from the employer or 6 months of paystubs.

Put in the complete tax returns/transcript and proof of current employment to satisfy your RFE.

Redundant because : They acknowledge he makes enough and more, so to have to send copies of Stanley Mutual, Ameriprise? etc, property assessments..aka assets, to prove he's 125% above poverty line,when his IRS transcripts and letter from employment (where he is the Director) seems redundant, as that alone without assets will prove he can "support" me. Anyhow, we have all the info, and I know it's my own stupidity for forgetting to put the tax return in the package..LOL..., just seems a bit much to "prove" his ability to "support me".

Also, want bank statements for last year showing deposits and withdrawals and balance. Kick in the ####### for our own stupidity I guess..LOL

Now the waiting game from IRS 7-10 working days for the transcripts...*sigh*

Thanks peeps, and I do realize WHY they would ask for so much additional info, if say he BARELY skimmed the required income, but I mean, he doesn't and has been at his job for over 20 yrs. And they asked for letter if there was any chance of advancement at his job, well there is only one more position above his there, so, ermm, well, not unless something drastic happens with his boss...again, info that doesn't really even pertain to this situation....yea yea I'm just in a b*tching mood...

No, you do not need bank statements. The RFE gives you options to show you are a suitable sponsor.

If you get the tax transcripts, and proof of current employment, there is no need to show assets or bank accounts. You would only show bank accounts if you could not provide proof of current employment and wanted to qualify on said assets.

but the box was checked next to assets as well? says show assets including : banks statements for last year, tax assessments on property etc, mortgage statements, stocks/bonds etc ?? So again, why I found all this extra info to be redundant...LOL

I know the RFEs are confusing. It says "you said you qualify but you don't have proof. Proof is 1...2...3..."

If you satisfy number 1, then you don't have to do number 2.

You aren't extra punished for getting a RFE. You just need to show the normal things.
