Embassy asked for passport?

Hi everyone,

I had petitioned for my parents and at the interview the CO asked my mother to bring in more documents, giving her a pink piece of paper, we sent in the papers the beginning of the month... Yesterday I checked the status of her application and it says AP. This afternoon I received a call from the US Embassy and they requested that we send her passport via Aramex to the Embassy.

Does this mean that they're going to go ahead and give her the visa? Is this a good sign?

I'm just curious, anxious, and excited at the same time.

Thanks :)

You probaly won't know until she is really approved. They could use just to check her recent travel or to verfiy something.

It's amazing how many questions can be resolved with a 2 minute Google search...

DoS hotline might know something.

Give DoS Hotline a phone call, ask for casefile status.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Thanks, Darnell. Do you know what time they're open until today? Last week when I called them and asked about AP the lady on the phone said it's all necessary processing and her case looked great on there end.. Not sure how much they'd be willing to discuss?

they close at 5 PM EST. IMO/E, casefile status shifts as time progresses. Is it worth the phone call? IMO/E, yes.
