Middle school student killed a teacher and then himself. Other students wounded.

Apparently the teacher was a hero and approached and confronted the boy and told him to put the gun away.

Freedom is not free. It's the price we pay to live in the greatest nation in the history of mankind.

I think the Roman's first used this tag line.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

2 dead at Nevada middle school; witness says student shot teacher

A staff member was killed and two students were injured after a student opened fire at a Nevada middle school on Monday, police said.

The "student/suspect" in the case is also dead, Washoe County School District Police Chief Mike Mieras said.

Authorities said it was too soon to say whether the suspected shooter was killed by a self-inflicted wound or a law enforcement shot.

The motive in Monday's shooting was unclear.

Why is it so sad? Incidents like this send a message to our enemies. The message is this: we are armed to the teeth and we're willing to use our weapons for both good and evil. Our enemies see this and tremble.

So don't be sad that these martyrs achieved martyrdom. Be happy about it, especially be happy knowing that the ChiComs, inscrutable as they may seem, see events like this and know that America will never be theirs.

I believe further debate on this issue is pointless.

The armed preppers of this nation will surely find how either A. The gun was legally purchased. B. The school should have been armed. or C. The president some how is to blame.

So what's the point? They'll be more and I guess that's just the way it is in the wild west of 230 million weapons.

Can you troll in a thread that doesn't involve a middle school shooting?

Imagine if the teacher HAD been armed. Nothing like a shootout in the classroom.

It appears you object to a country full of free people. May I suggest a relocation to Pyongyang or Harare?

I am not trolling.

I REJECT the idea that there is ANY thread on ANY subject where the celebration of LIBERTY is INAPPROPRIATE!

Yes, unfortunately more and more people will have to die until preppers are willing to change their minds and finally agree to a sensible solution. And until people finally realize what the NRA really is. Someone on this forum has been a member of the NRA for 40 years and has no idea it is funded by gun manufacturers whose interest is that people buy guns and make them money.

If people would agree with a sensible solution now then we could save those lives.

Since relocation isn't an option at this point I'll stick with plan B: Pointing out the absurdity that freedom in the US is somehow tied to a firearm. If that's what makes a man free then they've truly lost the plot.

If you "have to" carry something to protect you in order for you to feel free, how could you claim that as freedom?

The "illusion" of freedom with a firearm is a marketing ploy sold to the lemming masses of the US.

The Founding fathers would be appalled if they were alive today; because they had no intention of 80% of this nation ever actually voting. They initially sought freedom from taxes, nothing more. If they weren't taxed so heavily we'd all be British.

Real freedom resides between every persons ears...nowhere else.
