does it show as one whole surname?? I guess the best thing to do is just revise her passport as soon as she can... you better do it now while she's still in India... It might cause future problems if not corrected...

That might cause a bit of confusion when she applies for AOS, social security, driver's license when she arrives here.. There's a big difference between one whole name and two separate names... The mere fact that she will be establishing herself when she gets in the U.S. , her only valid identification would be her passport and it would be used a lot for various purposes so she might as well go to her passport office and have it corrected right?? You don't want to get into that whole trouble of explaining her real surname everytime, would you? Just a thought...

The only problem with that is that the indian passport office takes forever to do things like this, i am just wondering if it will cause a problem in the k1 file....when she gets here i can deal with that later..i just want my baby here fast

I'm sure there's an Indian embassy in every state so once she gets here in the US, the first thing on your "things-to-do" list is go there I guess... Don't worry! I don't think you'll get in deep trouble.. I was just saying that it might just cause confusion when it comes to documents and stuff..
