We filed i-864 (petitioner) and i-864a (household member) but for RFE. sad.png

I am made to understand that we need both i-864 and i-864a. In the petitioner's i-864, can someone kindly tell me if I need to put anything to Part 3 except the first question: I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in Part 2. I have YES. Does this have to be No? We only have the petitioner and the household member for this case

If the petitioner does not have any income from 2012, does he need to provide federal tax return? Petitioner started working this year and no income information from last year.

Are you referring the intending immigrant as household member here?

If the petitioner did not file a tax return from 2012 because of no income, you have to include a letter of explanation on the AOS packet.

No, the intending immigrant is not household member yet until he arrives to the US. I am the household member filing the i-864a.

Ok hope the letter of explanation is acceptable.

YES is correct. It is extremely rare to have No here. That is only in the case when there are multiple immigrants immigrating on the same petition, and you have two joint sponsors (which is also very rare), splitting the immigrants among them. Then the joiny sponsor who does not get the principal immigrant would say No.

For the rest of Part 3, you put something if there are more than one immigrant on this petition.

Well, did he file a tax return? If so, then he needs to provide a tax return. If not, then he needs to provide an explanation that he was not required to file.

Thanks so much for your clarification. Petition didn't file any tax return because they recently arrived here and was not employed.
