12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I am octer 8th. Our case shipped to nvc. But my question is what happens in the next two months. Yall are 55 days into the expiration date. It still needs to be sent to the country and then wait for an open appoitment. Is it automatically renewed. Or do you have to let the embassy know. At this point I am wishing ours will take over four months. But its one day at a time. So my main question is if nvc takes to long do we have to do anything on our part?

I am still way long to go.Mine was approved on October 11, 2013. I did call DoS once after some VJer complaining the number wasn't work just to tested it. But it worked actually and in a single call went through and talking to one of their visa specialists. I think you guys should called them to find out.

As I am reading so far here, after you got your case # and forwarded to embassy the processing move so fast. So I am probably need to gather documents for the interview by now though according to NOA-2 my I-129F valid until February 10, 2014. Wish you luck, guys!

It took approx 30 days or so before mine got to the NVC... I heard you should try calling them every day until they get it. I waited a while though before I called to check up on the progress and the day I called they said they received it that very day, hah. Shortly thereafter it was forwarded to my Fiance's consulate. His consulate got it within 1-2 days and they immediately sent the packet 3 to his house. I heard it takes a while longer when filing with the California embassy... seems to be between 25-45 days or so, if not more. I'd say keep calling them to check. Couldn't hurt? =)
