Hello,

I am a Canadian citizen who is studying in the USA under a F1 visa. I have been in the United States for about four months now. I am 20 years old, and school is getting pricey; with my motive to want to transition between being a full-time student and a legal citizen who can live and work, I am already considering other options for myself in how to go about that. So, what are my options to legally stay and/or work in the USA besides an F1 through a US college?

Seek a USCitizen to marry.

Helpful, though, if'n you fall in love first.

Don't want none of that? Get back to Canada after learning what it takes to get and maintain a TN-1 visa, then cross the border, activating yer TN-1 visa. Note you cannot adjust status on a TN-1 visa, save for marrying a USCitizen, though.

Did you really think going to school in the USA was an entry point in becoming a USCitizen?

I know it is difficult, I spent 2 years in the US as a student.

Without a college degree your options are limited.

I think TN visa requires a degree in special area, no?

or special training.

Canadiens get almost free education in Canada, so that's a plus. Sure, snow sucks, but school on the west coast isna so cold, apparently.
