When people put hard drugs in their body they well know the risk of what they can turn into... when that happens and they harm others to this degree, sorry, I am all out of sympathy.

You on the other hand not only "understand their situation" .. you frigging blame me for not providing and elaborate center and transition program for them to try to dry out in.

As for the costs of drug addiction, you pay for it right now, you pay for all those incarcerated as a direct or indirect result of the criminalisation of drugs. You could pay less and get more for your money if the emphasis on drug addicts was changed from pursuing these people as criminals and provide addiction support but you don't want to do that because you do not really want to actually help people who make bad choices, have poor support systems and are a harm to themselves and other people. No, what you want to do is tut tut over the evil people and the evil acts they get up to. Why that makes you happy I have no idea, it's not very christian though, no not very christian at all.

You really don't understand addiction do you?

Going after drug addicts as criminals has created a huge number of problems in the US, problems that could be minimised with a different approach. You choose not to know that, that's your affair, all I have done is point out that there are other approaches that would make a difference and cost the country less.

I rode in a big rig once to the outskirts of Johnson. I saw people off of Wrong Turn. I kid you not. We were scared to get out of the truck. My friend was picking up a load from a water bottle factory that was down a dirt road.

The people at the company drive in from Johnson City together, said they are too scared to go to work by themselves.
