In all domestic abuse cases, no matter what the reason, you need to have no contact, a bull dog attorney to protect your interests, divorce attorney and fight to get the order removed and never go back.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

OP, IMHO, your SO is a willing participant. Don't blame this all on the family.

Secondly, mark my words, you won't do thus but IMO the best thing you can do right now is distance yourself from them. I wrote them because your Wife is being coached by her family as well as legal aid types.

Sort out your legal mess and take care of your kids. Hope you dont loose custody or get placed on supervised visitations once the Ex findd out about RO.

I agree sounds like you were set up from the beginning.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Thanks.

Thankfully, my ex is aware of all of this. She told me from the start she knew I was innocent, regardless of the outcome. She just hopes the order is denied for my own sake. She has written a letter stating that in 15+ years of us being together we never had any incidents even close to being categorized as abuse/violence, even when we had heated arguments.

Just want to wish you the best. I can only try and imagine the disappointment and sadness you must be feeling. It sounds like you are being smart by being open with your ex about the situation (so it does not affect your relationship with your children) and having an attorney involved.

Something is seriously missing her folks. What happened in this relationship to cause the beneficiary to get desparate? She must have thought via her family or him that she would not get her status changed.

OP, tell us what really happened. Otherwise, if you love her so much, and nothing much happened you would have just filed for her adjustment.

Some is very fishy here gang.

As far as scam an honest man previously stated? Please, that is a nonsensical quote. I was absolutely taken to the cleaners. Darnell's and Gowon's advice is absolutely spot on. PROTECT YOUR A$$ETS. I got scammed by peasant for tens of thousands of dollars with absolutely no remorse on her part. There are frauds, criminals and con-artists out there by the thousands, and we get the pleasure of reading about them here on VJ. Yippee.

Chalk another mark in the scammed by a lover column people.

Sincerely,

She was NEVER denied or told the AOS would not be put through NEVER, not once.

You will know my full story after the court date. How we met, what we did and who she was in good and bad times tells me she never intended to SCAM ME. Now, her family and friends that have some knowledge of how the VAWA system works have convinced her to do otherwise. If we can not work it out and that is the path she wishes to attempt I will wish her the best and move on with my life, as hard as it may be.

Why wouldn't you think I, what MADE ME get to the point of buying her the ticket back home? Interesting you go with why did she become desperate, but so be it. Regardless, my story will be posted.

I will most likely stop replying to all of this, cause honestly it is making me sadder to think how it all went so wrong and WE could have avoided it. I will read and take it all in, so it may hopefully help me move forward without her if it is truly the end result.

Dude get a good attorney and file for divorce asap!!!!!! the person who was your spouse is no longer that person, take it from some of us you can see our posts, once a claim of abuse has been made you can never ever, ever, ever, ever go back, even if you still love her, DO NOT TAKE THIS PERSON back. no matter what, break any and all contaact, change your phone number, change door locks, unplug the garage door opener, tell your work if she comes in to notify the police ASAP and never speak to her again. EVER,,,except in court give her nothing unless ordered by the court and cancel the I864 if it is not to late.

You have been together for 15+? years? How long has she been in the U.S.? Would she already have her 10 year GC. Why would she make false abuse allegations against you to protect her immigration status?

Your story doesn't add up. Exactly how could this all have been avoided if her family is supposedly, as you put it is,"forcing her" to do this? The only way it could have been avoided is if you never brought her here. It's obvious she scammed you from the beginning. Why on Earth would you ever want to work it out with a woman who is potentially ruining your entire future? If you are found guilty, you could even lose visitation rights with your children. Why why WHY would you want to work it out, seriously? I agree with the poster who said you need psychological help. Someone who cares more about potentially working it out with a scammer, and less about his children needs help...

He's talking about his ex (who i assume is the mother of his children), not his wife.
