For anyone out there still waiting on their K-1 process or starting out - guys, IT WAS WORTH IT!

I'm finally here, in the US, with my beloved and loving every bit of it. I'm eternally thankful to all of the members of the VJ community for their help and words of encouragement they provided. It's a great website and our success in K-1 visa process journey would not have been as smooth as it was (not without a few bumps on the road but still :)).

I want to encourage everyone just starting the process - DON'T DREAD IT. If you truly love that person and are sure you want to spend the rest of your life with him/her then DO IT. It will be worth it in the end. The journey will bring you tests of your relationship and sanity. KEEP STRONG. You know you can do it. Lots of people did, so can you.

It will be very uneasy at times to cope with problems of the process being so far away from your loved one. Be strong. Support each other and stay in as frequent contact as you can. Love each other and care for one another, trying to understand what the other one is going through.

Tips: don't just check and follow the guides on here, keep up with the forums. Use search. RFE or even NOD is not the end of the world - it's a chance to prove your relationship one more time to the USCIS officer.

Be happy and remember to be thankful for being blessed to find the person of your life.

Very thoughtful. Congrats for both of you guys and finally the distance is in zero zone now.

Thanks for this post! My fiance goes for his interview in less than 12 hours and we are both anxious and on edge. This process is very difficult and our relationship has been tried many times! I can't wait for it to be over!! I pray that he gets approved tomorrow and that we have all of the paperwork in order.

Fingers crossed.
