You will get a faster response by calling them. The petitioner, beneficiary and lawyer can inquire at NVC. Just be ready with your USCIS receipt number, names and dates of birth of the petitioner and beneficiary.

To make free calls via WIFI, download the MagicJack app if you're using an iOS or Android phone/device. That's what I use. wink.png

When was your NOA2 and which service center processed your petition?

hello iammrsregi,

we got NOA2 last month and California service center processed our petition

CSC took a lot of time sending approved petitions to NVC. The average time is 44 days. If you call NVC, you will surely be told to wait 6-8 weeks.

At the moment, NVC gave out some case numbers to NOA2's from the first week of September. Latest one I saw from CSC that got a case number had NOA2 of Sept. 11, 2013. Others (TSC and VSC) got case numbers much faster than us.

Yes, you (the beneficiary) can send an email to NVC at NVCInquiry@state.gov

Be sure to attach a scanned copy of your NOA2 on your email. You will get an automated response first because they (the human) will only respond when you already have a case number assigned to you. Good thing about this is you have written proof of your case number when they respond to you. Like apple21 said, calling them still gets a faster response.
