I just got a notice for the interview next month. It's in Manhattan. I just submitted my application in October and I don't have that much evidence to show them. We have been living together for 2 years but we don't have anything that show both my husband and my names together. We just opened a joint bank account a month ago, is that enough?

For the photos, what kind of photos did you show them, the wedding photos or the regular photos? Are they going to keep the photos or they'll return to us?

I'm anxious about this interview. Any suggestions? What questions did they ask?

Mrs. Bobius here,

Just wanted to thank everybody for the congrats..i almost hugged our adjudicator...but opted to shake her hand, thanked her and wish her a happy holiday instead.

Yankees, every case is different, but she basically asked for all evidence and pictures to be given to her in one quick sentence, so as far as I remember, we just gave her bank statements, one utility bill, car insurance bill and a picture she picked out while i flipped through my album (she actually didnt look at any of the pictures, wedding or otherwise), and I gave her a picture of us at yankees stadium. ( the pictures have to be the two of you facing the camera though). Make copies of everything you give the officer at the interview..the items they want as "proof of your relationship" they will keep. That's all she took...oh and a letter from my employer stating I was still employed and that was it , have a nice day, you're approved! BUT, you adjudicator might be different, so the more you bring, the better. Oh yes, Bob and I think you should turn up in a shirt and tie at the very least, b/c they WILL eye you up and down if you show up in sweatpants / jeans. Why people choose to show up in sweatpants for their green card interview baffles me.

Don't worry about the speediness of your interview, ours took about the same time to be arranged.

Good luck!
