My fiance papers are all complete but her birth certificate is hard to read it was hand written by Mid-wife,but her birth registry paper is clear and it was accepted by the CFO Dept. She has a SSS Multi Purpose ID ,but her baptismal papers had her moms maiden name misspelled.

Do yo think that we could run into a problem with our K-1 process with these documents - Im thinking maybe we need to try get a new copy of the birth cert and get a correction on the baptismal document before its late in the game, Im not sure which are accepted or not required for the K-1 Visa can any one help me untangle this and give me some direction ?

you can actually ask for a clear copy for her birth certificate at the National Statistics Office near her. I did the same thing coz i cannot see my name at all on my birth certificate. it wouldtake some time tho. good luck.

USEM requires an original NSO birth certificate. If it is not clear and legible go back to NSO and see about getting a better copy.

USEM does not care about the baptismal papers.

I believe to get a better/clear birth certificate you have to start at the local registry, but I would contact NSO to find out.

Did you fiancee get an NSO birth certificate and it was blurry? I only ask because you have not started the process yet and a baptism certificate is not the same thing.

she has a birth certificate that's not clear this is the original its just old and worn and can be rejected during process like at a interview, the Birth registry paper is clear and was used at the CFO they were ok with it but im thinking we need to get the Birth Certificate again, the one she has is not that good, its hand written on some God awful orange paper.
