Not a supporter of Obamacare myself, but c'mon. Reach arounds? Destroying America? Liberals suddenly think insurance companies are the best thing since sliced bread and hold no blame for our current failing health care system? Only winners are insurance companies? I agree, insurance companies get way more out of this than I'm comfortable with, but nobody else benefits from things like kids being able to stay on parents' policy until 26, pre-existing conditions no longer being a reason for denial, etc?

I'll keep pushing for single-payer. In the meantime, anything above and beyond that, unless someone gives me some actual facts here (charles! put up a great chart yesterday, for example), I'll reserve judgment until things have actually been implemented and we can see the full effects.

I've spent hours for two days on the website. It really is as bad as the media reports. It's not even the long waits between each item after pressing continue which is understandable due to high volume of use. It is just so poorly designed. You wade through the questions and play solitaire, read Facebook, or do laundry while it churns to the next item. At some point it just stops moving forward. You log out, relaunch the browser, log in and are informed your application is not complete. So you agree to continue your application. It takes it from the top....not to where you left off and you go through every item (and the waits) again. I have confirmed the address 25, 30....50 times now. You may get a little further each time, but then you start again. Got to the end (I thought) yesterday. Signed, then nothing.

Today it's from the top again. And suddenly our family has a third member...a duplicate of my husband. So now the new guy has to confirm every item. Try to delete him?? You can't. Make the mistake of hitting edit and you start over confirming everything starting with address, but still can't delete Husband2. So you decide to leave him in. Help chat says you can delete at the end. No you can't, and trying starts you from the beginning. There is no navigation. So get to the end again of verifying 3 people, when only one wants insurance, and your summary comes up. "the following person(s) are enrolling.....BLANK. No persons. Log out. Get a beer. Give up.

Help people--

Online chat. Three times. They know nothing. They don't know how to delete Husband2. They don't know if the summary of enrollees is supposed to have actual names. They apologize and say to call an 800 number for support.

Phone support. "We aren't able to provide tech support." They have never actually used/seen the website.

There is a reason so few have signed up. It is impossible. There are so many things wrong with the design. It is not just a little glitch.

Hey but wait. The good news is that 1% of your income + penalties for uninsured children will be levied as a new income tax at the end of 2014 (2.5% at the end of 2016) so all of the poor, helpless uninsured will FINALLY contribute SOMETHING to fund their American dream.

Thank you Obama and those who elected him. You think they give a rats a$$ if you can enroll? Be certain they will have no problem or difficulty slapping you with the 1% Obamacare tax.

The website is a shambles and for what it cost it should work better...this is true. But the whole website thing is a big.."Meh..." They'll sort it out and that part will get fixed

what is going to un-do Obamacare is the outrageous premium increases MOST people are going to have to pay, and once they understand they have no CHOICE but to pay these outrageous sums OR be penalized sustantially, there will be a huge deamnd to stop this. Since the Continuing Resolution expires in January, by which time nearly everyone will be clued in to this huge gift of PROFIT handed to insurance comapnies by Der Leader, AKA "head creep in charge" Once they understand WHY the Democrats in Congress refused to be included in this plan

I had mixed feelings about this whole nonesense...good and bad

GOOD

1.Classic illustration of what politicians do when they control something people want.

2. It showed us that 800,000 Federal workers are barely missed. Seems like 50% of them could be laid off permanently. Start with the police guarding the WW2 Monument.

3. Illustrated clearly that Dems do NOT want to play their own game and are running from this "healthcare"

BAD

1. These clowns should not have this ability. It is our government, they should all be fired and we have NEW elections.

2. I think the sooner Obamacare is initiaied the sooner we will get rid of it. The majority of voters are too stupid to figure this out until it hits them in the wallet, THEN they will get it. They have been lied to for so long that they believe this nonsense. Stories are tricking out of double premiums, outrageous deductibles. when they start hearing it from their friends, when they sign up and see their premiums increase 80%, 100% or more, THEN they will demand it be repealed.

Just as Nancy Pelosi uttered her famous words of stupidity..."We have to pass it so we can see what's in it" (and she says this with the help of aids, teleprompters and writers) No one underwtand the multi-thousand pages of this Travesty...but people will understand a $3000 annual increase in premiums and a 600% increase in deductibles.

That is what will happen, Sorry it had to come to that, but it was predictable I suppose.

When they figure this out, it will be noted that not ONE Republican ever voted for this mess. I think perhaps they should have just agreed to everything and let it get implemented without a word.

The too many users is absolute Hoarse ####### straight lie. You can easily load balance severs and limit the number of active sessions so that the site works for people on it..Park people in a we and put them on the site, however demand is not the problem.More lies

I don't really have a comment on the good or bad or Obamacare. I don't have children or care about penalties. I don't expect Obama to care if I can or can't use the website. I just wanted to shop the "marketplace" to see what was being offered at what price. I thought the media was probably blowing it out of proportion. I am Internet savvy. I can read and follow directions. I don't give up easily. From my experience, it is much worse than is reported.

has claimed to have tried .. It is the greatest thing to hit mother earth.Many other people on this forum must have... One only wonders if it's this hard to sign up now what about when you have your arm wrapped in a towel in the emergency room. and you really need it. (sorry we had a system dump of over ten million people a year ago and you don't seem to be in our records) You could learn enough Spanish to claim to be a future democratic voter .from Guadalajara .as a back up plan to get a hotel room (sorry hospital room) .
