Hello Friends,

I have a few questions I am hoping one of you will assist me on :)

I Moved to the states on a K1 Fiance Visa and we are now married and I am applying for a AOS.

In my package I am going to include a Advance Parole ( form I-131)

I had a few questions pertaining to this form.

In part 3, I put unknown, I do in fact have a wedding reception I must attend in March, however since I put ( more than one trip ) in part 7...( because I would like to go Multiple times) Should I just leave the date as unknown.

Also One other question I had is the following :

Many of these forms ( i-131 , i-765) require the same evidence : Copy of I-94 , K1 visa, two passport photos and so on....Do I include A separate batch for each form when filing all together or do I just include one batch?

Thanks So much for all your help in Advance

Follow the example forms, accessible at the top of the forum page:

http://www.visajourney.com/content/examples

By way of example, here is the cover page that we used (also as a checklist) of what we sent in my wife's AOS package. The stepson's (K-2) cover letter was similar. We sent both AOS packages together. We followed the VJ K-1/K-3 AOS Guides…..

Yes, you can always just put Unknown for the dates.

Separate batch for each form.

Yes, you can always just put Unknown for the dates. Exactly.

Separate batch for each form. Likely doesn't matter, they will disassemble the entire package and re-sort as they see necessary.

Good luck.

Sorry A&B, but it does matter. The forms are mailed together, but they are separate applications and adjudicated separately. You should send what each forum requires, even if it is a duplicate of something else you are including for one of the other forms. This is why you should include 6 passport photos because each of the 3 forms requires 2.

OP, you will need to leave the date and length of stay blank as you fill it out, then print it and hand-write Unknown in those fields.

Jay-Kay, I understand what you are saying, however, I respectfully disagree. By way of example, we submitted the six, properly identified, passport photos in ONE zip-lock baggie, and had no issues. IF there were supplemental pages associated with a particular application (as noted with our I-131 and I-864 applications, in the above cover letter), they were segregated with that application.

You sent evidence for each form, even if it was a duplicate, correct? For instance, you just stated you sent 6 passport photos. The OP asked if they needed to send supporting documentation for each form or just one set of required documentation for all of them. She is not asking if you mail it altogether because of course you do. She asked if you need to duplicate supporting documentation when the forms require the same evidence, and the answer is yes, you do need to send the evidence for each form, even if including the same evidence for another one of the forms. For instance, you include a copy of your bio page from your passport and 2 passport photos for both the I-765 and the I-131.

You can call our successful AOS applications an anomaly or whatever. If memory serves me correctly, I used the previously shown cover letter as a checklist and inventory sheet of everything that we submitted in our AOS packets. I just went through my duplicate copy of those packets and do not see duplicate copies of the passports/bio pages with the applications you mention.

Hmmm, is it real or is it Memorex????

I honestly don't recall those wonderful "stress-free" moments of last year with a lot of detail. The end results I do recall vividly….

YMMV….Obviously…..

Some people have no issues when not sending in duplicates of evidence for each form, but some people have received an RFE, such as for missing passport photos when they only sent 2. Same thing with all forms you send to the USCIS, some people get an RFE and some do not, even when including the exact same things. It is often mentioned here on VJ to send in the required documentation for each form, even if you already included something for the I-485. It is easy to add the duplicates for the I-765 and I-131, so I advise people do so in order to not receive an RFE that was easily avoidable.

we filed an I-131 to Algeria and we did not include any photos, except his US drivers license and a copy of passport/visa and a copy of the receipt for the I-485 and his biometrics paper. If you have a pending I-485 there is no fee for the I-131. We did get a denial but the reason was because we forgot to sign on page 5 the applicant signature, there are 2 places to sign on page 5 and unfortunately we didn't see the first one. We signed it and resent it.

Each filer is responsibility to do his or her own, right wrong or indifferent to the rest of the group etc. All I know is A&B and I did ours the same way and had no issues. Good Luck, maybe Canada is different?

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

Besides forgetting to include tax forms, I also noticed I didn't send enough passport photos either (for the I131), I got an RFE, we will see if they also ask for more passport pics...hmmm
