Members, According to one of the USCIS online status check site under "Request for evidence response review", the standard wait for the rfe is now 5 months. For example, this is what they write:

"We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use the processing time information on our website to estimate when this case will be done."

And when you check on their processing time section, they indicate that it takes a minimum of five months to process the rfe. What do you think about this, VJ members.

The response to our RFE was 7 days. I think the vast majority of RFE's get responded to quickly. Obviously, some folks wait longer but I know it's not an average of 5 months.

I doubt its 5 months. The congress man helping me told me I should receive my response in a few weeks or he'd call them. 5months is a ridiculous about of time
