Hi everyone,

I got the packet 3 from the Paris Embassy and I have troubles filling the DS-230 Part I form.

Question 33: List all educationals institutions attended

I attented university for a few months (2 or 3 months if I remember...) but had to leave before the end of the school year so I didn't have a degree at the end (and then no proof I actually did it)

Should I put it anyway? If yes what should I put for the degree since I don't have it?

Do we have to put Middle and Elementary schools too? And then put N/A for "course and study" and "diploma/degree"?

Thank you!

Met Mike while he was on Vacation in FL - Nov 6, 2012

Started dating - Nov 27, 2012

Mike went back to France - Apr 14, 2013

Visited France - May 31 to June 13, 2013

Engaged in Paris - June 5, 2013

Filed for I-129F - July 6, 2013

NOA1 - July 10, 2013

Transer from VSC to TSC - Aug 6, 2013

NOA2 - Aug 23, 2013 (APPROVED!!! 42 Days!)

I listed each and everything from his Elementary to college. He also did three months course I also put that too. It was little hard for us to find address, phone numbers, and dates. Take your time and fill out completely. Best of luck!

Hi,

I'm not sure we have to fill this document anymore due to this update because on the DS-160 online they ask you the same questions :

Effective immediately, all K visa applicants are required to complete the DS-160 Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application. The DS-160 replaces forms DS-156, DS-156K, and DS-230.

For K visa cases already in process at a U.S. embassy or consulate, the DS-160 is not required when, prior to October 7, 2013, one of the following situations exist:
  • The K visa applicant is already scheduled for an interview.
  • The K visa applicant has already been interviewed and has been requested to submit additional documentation or is pending administrative processing.
  • The K visa applicant has already submitted a valid, signed, unexpired DS-156, DS-156K and/or DS-230 or received instructions to do so.

Here's the link :

I hope we'll get more informations soon about the replacement cause it's not that clear.

Hi I am not mistaken don't they indicate a time frame?

In any case if I remember correctly I had indicated everything (I had enclosed a separate sheet). You are not asked to give proof so you can indicate any short period time.

Good luck!
