How long we have to wait for I-130

Hi guys,

its almost 7 month for waiting to approve my I-130 form but when i checked my case states at USCIS, they showed its still in initial review like as i mention below.............

Web site message......

On April 3, 2013, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

as i mention im a April petitioner ,can any body help me the advise what wrong with uscis and when they processed my case?? i cant wait any more i really love my wife and its really very hard for me to remain away for her.its relay horrible...... by the way currently what is the processing time for I-130 at uscis?

what was the situation at uscis before and after shutdown in USA? are they start processing rending cases or not?

On uscis site the estimated processing time is 11 months, but I doubt it will take that long. but 7-9 months is a good estimate looking at VJ approvals. I am a march filer and still waiting. Hang in there.

The shutdown has nothing to do with your wait. its 11 to 16 months for I-130.

Hopefully with the new service center opening a few weeks ago things will happen. Currently the NBC is stating they are on October 2012 petitions. Waiting is all you can do right now.

Hello everyone, I am in a similar situation. I filled my I130 in May, 2013. According to the USIC website my I130 has been in intial review ever since May 20th.

My question for the forum is - How long does this entire process take? How long, on average, will take before my wife can join me here in the US?

The I-130 process takes the longest and can be 5 months up to 12 months or longer. It seems to be getting longer these days unfortunately. Once approved going through NVC can take 2-3 months (without RFE) and then you just have to wait for the interview and pray you don't go into AP. I think on average the entire process has been taking about 10-12 months for most people. Edited by kmg617

02/13/2014-Interview- Approved, but the consular officer did not see I-864 joint sponsor documents, and sent my husband home with the packet of all the original documents, and told him to mail it in when he gets it. My husband realized that the "missing" documents had been there all along. Husband immediately mailed it back.

02/26/2014-Consular office received "missing" documents and gave it to CO for review

03/17/2014-Visa Issued!

03/20/2014- Received Visa

03/21/2014- POE!

If you're going for a K3 you want them to work on your I-129F not your I-130. If the I-130 reaches the NVC before the I-129F then the K3 route closes for you.

#######! I can't believe it takes that long. I was spoiled the first time I did this. The whole process from start to finish took less than a month. I was in the military then, so they expedited my paperwork.

Im a April petitioner and im still waiting for the NOA 2 from USCISsleep.pngdry.png .when i checked my online status it showed that its still in initial review.

By the way can any one tell me what the actual criteria of processing the application of I-130 because i have seen many of petitioner who got their NOA2 from USCIS are the May & June petitioner and many of petitioner are still waiting for the NOA2 like petitioner from January , February ,March etc...?? what is the science here???protest6wz.gifranting33va.gifprotest6wz.gifranting33va.gifprotest6wz.gifranting33va.gif

Why some cases are done on very fast track while other take to much time for the same thing???
