Hello does anybody know how you are kept updated after sending packet 3 back (ds-156, sd-230 etc) I have sent them to London but have no idea how to find out if the forms have been completed correctly, received etc. Tried calling the number on here and operator just said cant check as it may take 6weeks to show on their system so no help at all....

Is there anywhere that I can check to keep myself updated?

AOS and EAD Timeline

First Application rejected due to them not receiving $70 for Biometrics, even though I had a receipt from them :-(

NOA1 - 10/01/2007

Biometrics - Middle of October, don't have exact date sorry

I-485 and I-765 Touched - 10/23/2007

EAD Approved - 10/27/2007

Nothing Since

There is no way to know. I hope that you sent the package via a company that could track its progress and when it was accepted by the Consulate. In 2-3 weeks, you should receive the Interview packet (packet #4). If not, you may need to call the Consulate.

Cheers Joey,

If you receive packet 4 then does that mean packet 3 was completed correctly and there is nothing to worry about rfe's etc

Cheers Joey,

You don't get RFEs from the Consulate. Receiving Packet #4 means the Consulate has received from you what they needed to issue you Packet #4 and an Interview date. When you return Packet #3, the DS-2001 document says that you have collected all the information necessary and that you are ready for the Consulate to set an Interview date. You returned DS-230 part-1, DS-2001, copy of Passport ans passport photos. I don't think they go and verify everything on the DS-230 is correct before sending packet #4. The fact that you returned the requested docs from Packet #3 to the Consulate says that you believe all the information is correct. At this point, the Consulate takes you at your word! When you arrive for the interview, they'll let you know if something is not correct. You just need to make sure that there are no errors!

The other documents, from Packet #4, are taken with you to the Interview - DS-156, DS-156K, DS-157, FS-257a and the Affadavit of support I-134, and evidence of a relationship. So if there are problems with these documents, the Consulate cannot object until you arrive and show them.
