Affidavit of Support Query

Sorry for posting something similar but I guess each Affidavit of Support query is different based on individual cases.

My partner has a letter from one of his employers which outlines his employment status, position title and salary. This amount is 100% above the poverty line (greater than). He also does contract work for dance studios on the side. Because it's harder to get the documentation needed to show/prove those earnings is it worthwhile getting them or will it be fine because his initial salary we are documenting is above the poverty line?

His W2 for the last year shows his main salary, although it was slightly less than poverty line because he started mid-way through the year but the current letter verifying employment outlines his annual salary is above poverty line - will this be an issue as well?

Also, is the poverty line before or after tax?

I should also mention this is the AOS for the I-134 not the other one for adjustment of status. From what I gather it's a little more flexible on the I-134.... could be wrong?

If Australia is one of the consulates that accepts the 100%, then it should be good. Does his self-employment income not show on his taxes from last year? The most recent tax return would be the proof of his self-employment income. Income is gross, before taxes.
