Do they contact my parents or me after the application sent out

Hi, I am an U.S citizen applying green cards for my parents, they both live in the foreign contry right now. So what happen after i sent out the I-130 applications, is someone from the USCIS going to contact me or my parents in the foreign contry for the interview after the application has been approved? Thanks.

They will inform u. the petitioner via text or email. and also u can check online the status of ur application if its approved.

So i guess I meant what happened after the application get approved, are they going to contact my parent in the foreign conutry for interview? Or they would contact me to schedule an interview? And how long is the waiting time? Thanks!

Once you are approved at USCIS the petition then moves on to NVC where you have more applications and documents to submit. They would be contacting the Petitioner and Beneficiary at the email addresses you will provide when you call them for your case#.

Only after you are done with all documents and they are accepted at NVC you get Case Complete than you await assignment of interview and then they will email you the interview date (The petitioner and beneficiary).

Those are great information. Wow a year, that's longer than i expected, do you mean from the time I submit my application to get an interview is about one year waiting time?

And do you know what kind of additional documents are they goeing to request before the interview? thanks

Also go to the NVC filers thread and read post #1 and #2 you have quite a wait so study up.

Up to a year or so as long as it goes smoothly no RFE will follow if that happen,that would definitely more extended days to process

Request for Further Evidence. or Request for Evidence. Either way means something is missing or a mistake was done and it needs to be fixed. Means delays.

Well its too late now you already submitted your petition. An RFE is when they send you a letter ststaing you forgot something. Whether it was the actual forms filled out wrong or more evidence.

They would tell you what additional documents or evidence dear they need.

Don't second guess what is not necessary.

I actually have not yet submitted the forms yet, i finished everything, but just want to double check to make sure i'm doing everything right. And i want to also get an idea of the process so i would know what to expect especially if the traveling will be needed.

So since i'm applying for both of my parents, do i need to submit the payments together or seperately, what about the evidences too, one of each form? Am i supposed to put both forms together inside the same envelope or mail them out in the seperate envelopes? Thanks again!
