Ted Cruz does his best to save the country and this is the thanks Mr Bigdog gives?

Q- Why don't those on the LEFT shut down the Gov't?

A- The same reasons that Alcoholics never close down the Liquor store.

Ted Cruz cost America a large amount of money and his antics never had any chance of doing anything other than that. It was stupid, expensive grandstanding. What a hero to have?

Every expert predicts dire consequences if we keep spending,

Ted tried to make a difference, Obama, on the other hand, started an unsustainable new entitlement and thinks he can spend his way into prosperity.

No, he did not. He had no chance in hell of doing anything other than costing the country money. If you do not understand why such grandstanding is counterproductive and those who indulge in it attention #######'s then I can't help you.

Yeah, I am sure you do. Focus on trivialities and leave the big stuff to economists.

Sadly Danno, the stupidity will continue on. There is nothing clever going on here, it's a bunch of politicians who like the sound of their own voices more than they like pragmatic solutions to real problems. What we NEED is politicians who want efficient cost effective government not big or small. There are policies and programs that government can and should manage for the greater good of all citizens. Focusing on the wrong issues time and time again does nothing good and just wastes more money. It's pathetic is what it is.

Thats a simplistic statement everyone can agree with.

Keep your eye on greece then spain, Portugal, Ireland.

The vast majority of people in power are simply mortgaging your kids future to buy your vote today.

And all you can do is defend the looting and attack anyone who imperfectly tries to put the breaks on.

There are going to be real people hurt in this, real savings wiped out, real futures diminished.

And when that check is cashed, you will without a doubt parrot the talking points then too, blaming everyone but yourself.

So the federal government shutdown that the tea party radicals forced on this nation took $24 billion dollars out of our economy and is expected to reduce fourth quarter economic growth from 3% to 2.4% - that's 0.6% of economic growth lost to this sheer and utter nonsense they played. Fewer people working, less economic activity, less income for American families, less taxes coming in meaning bigger deficits and more debt. These idiots have done nothing but damage to the nation. And that is on top of making the US from a once admired nation into the laughing stock of the world. They are destroying America. Bastards!

So, if'n the 24 billion gets voted 'back into the foodchain' then all is great, yes?

I'm thinking yes.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Federal regulation opens the door to the consumer nation = No way the power is ever going back to the states where it belongs.

I am to blame? What am I to blame for Danno? What have I done? I have pointed out that grandstanding politicians are achieving nothing except WASTING our tax dollars. I plead guilty to that, I am. Cruz is the poster child for grandstanding politicians and he's your hero. I am not the one cheer leading the waste of tax dollars on irrelevancies, you are.

Sorry Batman, but people take a lot more out of the system than they put in (no matter how much or little they earn). For example:

the male average earner who retired at age 65 in 2010 paid $345,000 in total Social Security and Medicare taxes in his working years, but will receive $417,000 in total lifetime benefits ($464,000 for a woman). And the gap is even larger with couples.

No, social security is not strictly speaking an "entitlement" since some of the benefits are a return of money workers pay in taxes, but people are not just taking out what they put in. That extra amount that everyone is currently receiving IS a hand out. That is why the system is unsustainable. Everyone knows changes to the formulas must occur or we will all get nothing.

SS is not a savings account where you take out what you put in. The people who earn money now pay for the people who get SS now, and someone will pay for you when you take SS. There are more people in the US than there used to be, so there are more people available to pay for SS. Not to mention inflation and many other factors.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
