Waiting for NVC to issue date at US Embassy in London - how long?

Hi

Found out today that the NVC completed the review of our case on the 11 Oct 2013. We are now waiting for the NVC to schedule the interview at the US Embassy in London.

Does anyone have any idea of how long this can take. The NVC would not (or could not) give me any idea of how long this stage would be. If anyone has gone through this part of the process and can shed some light on the timings it would be much appreciated.

At least we're nearly there!

Thanks

Val

It really depens on their work load. It could be next week (although not very likely), sometime in January or even later...

It's amazing how many questions can be resolved with a 2 minute Google search...

That's what I thought. I was just hoping that someone has gone through this part within the last few weeks which would at least give us an idea of their workload.

Thanks. I had already checked there but there are only 4 IR5 entries for London and none for this year (other than mine!)

For anyone following this topic you will be please to know that yesterday we got notification of our interview date at London - 17 December. So although we won't make it to our daughters for Christmas we should be there in January. Fingers crossed.

Hi valb47

I am in the same situation that you were a few weeks back - case completed on 25th October 2013 (was told this over the phone), received an email from the NVC to say the case was completed on the 1st November 2013 but still awaiting an interview date at the London US embassy.

Was there anything that you did to push the process along or anyone in particular you called regarding interview dates?

Thanks

Hi London User

I didn't do anything to push the process along. The NVC told me that they wait for the US Embassy in London to give them a list of dates and then they distribute them. It would seem to me (and I may be wrong) that they only get the interview dates onces a month, so we were able to get into the 'December interview' batch. From your dates it looks like you should be in the January batch of dates - but then it just depends on how many interview dates the NVC have compared to how many people waiting interviews.

If the timing for the next lot of interview dates follows ours then you might get notification next week.

Hope so,

Good luck

Val
