evidence of our approved I-129F

Hello Vj! I have my K1 interview coming in November. After filling the DS160 form, I was asked to come with the evidence of our approved I-129F. However, after receiving the email notifying us of our approval,we never got the mail till this moment. Is it ok if I print the approval from my email as the evidence of our approved I-129F ? What do you thin guys?

You're supposed to get a letter in the mail after you're approved. Your NOA1 and NAO2 are always mailed to you, so that would be your proof that your case has been approved.

This topic actually confuses me, is there any way you could explain yourself a bit better?

Please i need to make an enquiry on Abuja Consulate in Nigeria for K1 Visa......What's the experience like? I noticed that most VJ members for K1 visa are using Lagos consulate.

so do i transfer from Abuja to Lagos or what?....please assist.. Thanks in advance!

Are you sure you were you actually scheduled for an interview?

When did you get an email telling you were approved?

Whoever has the letter, needs to send you a copy of it.

You have no choice your interview is in Lagos ( unless something changed this year). Have you done your medical and all that?

All immigrant visas goes thru Lagos consulate. So Abuja embassy is not an option.

Take the copy of Form I-797 NOA2 that USCIS sent you.

We never got the mail that contained the form. I-797 NOA2. We contacted NVC after it seemed that weren't going to receive the I-797 NOA2 and they issued me my case number and directed me to contact the consulate here in nigeria to schedule an interview.

You needed to contact the USCIS about never receiving the NOA2 approval notice. They are the ones that send that out, not the NVC. The NOA2 is required for filing AOS after you are married.

Agree with Jay-Kay, follow-up with USCIS and get your NOA2.

Here is the process to get a duplicate I-797, there is a fee of $405 for using this Form I-824:

Contacted USCIS and we were told that a re-issue of I-797 will take 3months. This is disheartening as I have my interview coming up next month. Please guys anymore suggestions ? Can the email notification alerting us of our NOA2 approval serve as I-797 on the interview day?
