Just a simple question...(or not) I am the petitioner for a K1 VISA. I am confused what NVC actually reviews and processes...Does anyone know? And how long does it normally take for this process to end. We are going on 2 weeks and see from others timelines that a lot of people get transferred within 1-3 days.

i get my noa2 on august 19 2013 , they transfered my case on october 1 .i was keep calling them they said it can take up to 7 weeks to keep on their system

NVC is generally just a waystation, where your Petition gets logged into the State Department system and then sent on to the embassy. If you were at California Service Center, they are generally holding those up 40+ days after NOA2's right now. Once NVC logs you in you are just there a few days.

Oh Sharkano if that was only true 100% of the time. Right now alot of K-1's are in AP at NVC and can take up to 8 weeks after being received from USCIS. I have spoken to them several times, "Sorry no timeline" The very nice lady I spoke to last night said in her long time experience AP is because they are behind and usually takes 2-3 weeks. But that was just a personal opion. LOL, well if she has been there long I choose to believe her. We are at 2 weeks at NVC also.
