gogo, when your wife called DOS, Did they tell her the status is pending for "administrative processing"? Did they tell her what exactly date? As I mentioned before, my case is changed to AP since Nov. 13 based on DOS hotline, but not online status.

AP prior to interview is normal. is great indication that the GUZ IV Unit has the casefile and has opened the casefile. Still, best to call DoS Hotline and ask directly, "Has GUZ IV opened the casefile yet, or no?"

yeah, my wife called them and they said it was in administrative processing already and that we should receive the P4 very soon.. those exact words.. hopefully I should be able to get the P4 before Thanksgiving.. how come your status hasn't changed? Or maybe it already has and changed back? However, I did read of some people that their status never changed and that they got their visa approved already..


I'm guessing again that they probably receive a "big" package (like what I noted when I tracked it).. and that they just finish it slowly.. so yours should be in administrative processing already.. call them up again and bother them.. and then call again later today to get a second opinion.. always need a second opinion from them anyways..

I just called DOS hotline twice, and the first one told me no interview date is schedule yet and no more detail information. The second one told me the case is pending for AP, but no interview date is scheduled yet. When I asked if GUZ IV opened the casefile or not, the second one told me yes but without any exactly date. I am very confused with that and will call back in a couple of days.

yeah, you shouldn't get any interview date because you have to schedule yourself.. that is correct.. so it seems they are working on your case, so just wait for the P4 like me.. it should come in a week or two if nothing is wrong..

looks like my tracking is a little behind if I'm getting the Administrative Processing status already like you.. probably two weeks difference I see.. so you can still use the "Oldest Date" to track an estimate of when things will change.. it's just about two weeks off..


another thing to consider is that we are both in different visa categories, so they might process/do things differently..

Interview Date : 12/9/2013, originally 12/3, stupid lawyer filled out her dad's passport number wrong..

Interview Passed : 12/9/2013

Visa "Issued" on CEAC : 12/10/2013
