Does anyone know anything else about this ghostly place ?? seems like they are still deciding on the decorations and color of paint that is going to be used while more and more files keep piling up .... :(:(

At the beginning of the process I was thinking it could take about 8 months then with all the happenings moved to 10-12 but now is like 16 and beyond cray5ol.gif .......... no one seems to know anything for sure about this place which is terrifying ....

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Overland Park is a large city just outside of KC, MO (more like a suburb), but yes, it is in Kansas. I met a woman who works for immigration, but she only mentioned the downtown office (meaning KC, MO). When I see her again, I'll ask about anything in OP. I live on the Missouri side of Kansas City.

there's a June filer who's NOA1 had overland park, kansas as the address on it and he was approved just the other day. See the June 2013 filers post.

2013-22-05: Sent I-130 to Chicago Lockbox

2013-10-06: NOA1 received - Petition at Overland Park, Kansas

2013-11-12: Email stating our I-130 has been transferred to a local USCIS Office

2013-13-12: Email stating our I-130 was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office

Have now decided to do DCF through the London Embassy:

2013-22-10: Overnighted a second I-130 to London

2013-24-10: NOA1

2013-21-11: Letter requesting that we cancel our I-130 petition filed in the U.S.

2013-09-12: NOA2

There's a site called federaldaily that has been linked around VJ a couple of times, where USCIS employees and hopeful employees have discussed the facility at Overland Park. They haven't said anything relevant to us really, mostly just chatting about hiring procedures and working conditions. But the facility definitely exists. It's crazy that the help desk people don't know anything about it.

I called USCIS today. They know nothing about new NBC in kansas. They said theirs only one and that is in missouri

It is one in Kansas City, which is at border with Kansas and Missouri. That is the information I have, and there is where my file end up being... but You're never sure of.
