I was going to respond to this, but common sense has urged me not to.

Ok first

What Schools do not have AC ? I think most do. BTW before it starts I am all for AC in Schools but to assert you can't function without it is absurd

I never said anything of the sort, I am just pointing out that children who don't have the luxury of air conditioning in their class rooms are more likely to be disadvantaged, compared to those who do.

I went to School 12 years and the only AC was in the principals office. We produced doctors, lawyers and even an Heisman trophy winner. The idea that you can't get an educations without AC is absurd. I guess there were no schools until AC became the Norm.

My dad went thru Med school in the 40's No AC

I went thru Basic in the summer at Ft benning..No AC

The pussyfication of America continues

I bet the Korean students doing well has nothing to do with the AC

Sorry to break it to you old chap, but many things have changed since the 1940s, not least the minimum educational requirements for entering today's hyper competitive job market.

See bro this is why these folks are so ripe for the picking....... In their minds things would improve in Detroit if we just "invested" more money.

I will be so bold as to claim that the learning environment would IMPROVE is you removed the AC and the central heater in the Detroit school system.

Those who really really wanted to learn would fold a piece of paper into a fan in the summer and Sit by the space heater in winter. Meanwhile the rest of the dead-wood would clear out.

Of the remaining students, all would no doubt learn something and graduate.

Which as I said would be an improvement over what is happening now.

Tell me what the Right has done to help.

Done to help what?

Why the obsession of making people so helpless that the Gov't is the first and last place to look to for help, food, housing, a father, education, medication, employment, heating oil, a phone, transportation, baby formula, diapers, retirement, prescription drugs, condoms, abortions, vaccinations, meals on wheels Etc.

Good God, man, stand on your own feet, that what we did in this country up until a few decades ago.

Pull up your bootstraps, the great right answer. You know, go get a job, not like there's anything stopping you. Get an education, not like these kids have to worry about getting shot, stabbed, jumped, or something else.

Get a clue Danno, have you lived in any of these cities?

Will not the military pay for your education.

I was recently in DC . 1000's of service industry jobs. Almost everyone I encountered was a foreigner, why do you think that is.

Why did the Metro have to play warnings every few mins about the muggers and snatchers

You would think in area with so many Job opportunities, tight Gun control, and so many Govt programs DC would be a flourishing example

Not hard to figure out if you look at the root of the problem. I haven't looked at the link since I can't do this at work, but I'll wager all of these cities are mostly black neighborhoods. That explains it.

My good ole granddad used to work for the city for several years. Just one of his many jobs in his lifetime. He pointed out several times, when a large amount of blacks move anywhere, the support system of that neighborhood leaves. This is why in the hood, you barely see any cops or cleaning crews. When I drive through E. STL, I see it first hand. You got guys standing on the corner, doing drug deals with no fear since there isn't a police officer for miles. If something happens to you over there, it will take the ambulance a few hours to get to you since they don't want to go in those places, when it snows, they don't even clean the streets, this was on the news here. Older folks went to city hall to complain about that and it made the local news. And yet, folks tell us to somehow deal with issues they will never have to deal with.

The military pays for my college. I was lucky that I got out of my city and made something of myself. Others weren't so lucky.

I gotta tell you Marvin, after trillions spent on these segments of the population, more and more people are weary of it.

They are tired of the excuses, they are tired of the crime, they are tired of what seems like a hopeless situation.

I see this more and more. People like me who once were more sympathetic to the Plight of Black Americans see foreigners arrive her with little in the way of language or means and some how they seem to find work and not find themselves to resorting to crime in such numbers.

This is really unfortunate because Blacks with their unique history and challenges were progressing at astonishing rates. When you look at the literacy rates between slavery and say 1930, it was remarkable!

Small businesses and Black communities looked nothing like what you see today, something derailed a huge Part of Black America, they are not just being left behind... they are going backwards.

Is it too much to ask that someone show up at a free school and graduate?

That they not have kids before they marry?

If they will just do this, their odds of being in poverty are in the single digits.

What are you talking about? I'm talking about the services that take off when black people move in. Is that their fault? Are we supposed to function without the services white neighborhoods get?

Again, ANYBODY is acceptable as long as they are not black Americans. It is amazing that you never bring up crime and how people are sick of white trailer trash recipients.

They are white, my fault, why would you bring up such a topic. They are excusable. Lets not forget your hard earned so called money goes to them as well.

So anybody that lives in a mobile home is white trash?

I am glad you don't stereotype or have prejudice in your heart

what really amazes me is you don't think you are racist

P.S. I know some black people who live in a mobile home...Fine Folks

You did not see me say that anybody who lives in a trailer home is trailer trash. I am just pointing out the trailer trash people who live in trailers who are trash.

So, you can change my words all you want.
