Because solutions to problems always have to involve other people's money...

How do you help communities that are stuck in poverty without someone's money?

um yeah, when the problem is lack of money, other people make up for it. and i don't believe this money should come from "middle class" workers but skimmed from the way-too-rich.

I'm not saying this because I'm disputing their figures, but because I'm genuinely curious: Where did they get the info from? (Did I miss a link?)

Side note: I wasn't aware Tulsa and Memphis were more liberal. I've heard of pockets like Houston, but those are new to me. Also, St. Louis always seemed rather conservative to me when I visited. Guess I didn't probe the locals of their politics enough laughing.gif

Could you define way-too-rich? Not a Webster's definition but your opinion.

it's not bs just because the website used crappy stock photos from the 80s. i'm sure the crime stats are quite real.

as a liberal, i'd like to throw some money at all these cities; invest in a little 'rebuilding' to deal with the aftermath of the 42 years long war on poor people drugs.

gotta love Libs More free stuff.

Can we throw your money and not mine

Please

How about you donate 10K

Yeah, I just asked what the term "liberal utopia" was supposed to mean. But thanks for all that instead.

If it must be explained, perhaps no one here is more able than me to help you out.

wow.gif

Liberal Utopia referes to a location where the Left has control for a protracted period of time to implement all their solutions at solving the tuff problems....

which they tell us they alone can do.

Even when you look at areas which should be a slam dunk to manage we find the more the liberals enact Leftist policy the MORE PROBLEMS THEY HAVE.

California is a prime example, once known at the Golden state....... now known as the Welfare State.

The census shows the movement of people OUT of California is unmatched in world history except in times of war or emergency....... yet the state still increased in population ..............due to Immigration.

Take an area like Seattle, that place should be a slam dunk as they have few minorities, a relatively educated population and it is an ideal location for commerce yet with their living wages and environmental regs many business are leaving or reluctant to move there.

I actually Like to visit theseplaces because Liberalism is so pervasive, so matter-of -fact, conservatives live on the down-low rofl.gif

No doubt one could get more diversity of ideas at the Vatican or Cpac.

I shared a flight with a guy who does business from there, he is relocating to Alabama (of all places) but he warned me to avoid discussing politics in WA, in fact he spoke in such hushed tones on the plane you would have thought he were plotting insurrection or something. When the conversation moved to other subjects he spoke in normal volume, I found it funny and a bit pathetic.

Anyway, unbridled Liberalism only works when it is easy ......and propped up, in the long run, they are their own undoing.

aw. cray5ol.gif

and how do feel about gop gerrymandering?

The same way I feel about Democratic Gerrymandering

when The dems had the state house here we had a District that stretched from North GA to Savannah

Why do you act like the Pubs have a monopoly on it

start with the forbes 400.

Yes let's levy a 40% tax on them. Flood those neighborhoods with free stuff.

In 5 years they will be right back in the same shape

Govt reliance is what has them in the shape they are now

Yes lets just skim so money from da rich.. Let's drive some more business off shore and take more money out of the economy.

You sound like that Challanged person in the other thread, I forget his name that tried to explain to me the universal service Fee we all pay is not a tax

Well if the liberals are doing it, then I guess it's okay.

What kind of free stuff are we talking? When I was in Knoxville a couple of years back, I couldn't help but notice how depending on which side of the rail way tracks you lived, you might or might not be able to count on a police presence.

How about funding schools so that they can have air conditioning in class rooms? Air conditioning is good enough for kids in private schools, why not in public schools as well? The idea that you can force twenty or thirty students into a classroom on a hot summers day is absolutely crazy.

Is this the kind of free stuff you had in mind?

When Did Duke University or Ole'Miss get AC?

My father went to a school before AC was invented, yet his education experience seemed to surpass mine, though mine was in the North with AC.

Travel around the world and see what the environment is for high achieving school... what things do they place as a premium?

in many, "comfort" is not one and I think using this as an excuse just does not stand up to the test.

I don't know about other countries but Korean public schools all have air conditioning, and school children there tend to do pretty well.

Ok first

What Schools do not have AC ? I think most do. BTW before it starts I am all for AC in Schools but to assert you can't function without it is absurd

I went to School 12 years and the only AC was in the principals office. We produced doctors, lawyers and even an Heisman trophy winner. The idea that you can't get an educations without AC is absurd. I guess there were no schools until AC became the Norm.

My dad went thru Med school in the 40's No AC

I went thru Basic in the summer at Ft benning..No AC

The pussyfication of America continues

I certainly don't doubt you thererofl.gif

I bet the Korean students doing well has nothing to do with the AC
