Hi everybody! I have some doubts about the Form I-864. My husband is the USC and I'm the beneficiary and we have a baby on the way that will be born before he submit the I-864. I'm a current F1 visa holder that will expire in couple of weeks and I have to go back to my country and from there I'll start the IR-1/CR-1 and the K3 process (whichever comes first). I am a OCD and I'm trying to fill the forms as much as we can now.

My question is, since our child will be a USC, do we need to include him in the household number, although he will be living with me before we can move to US (once I get approved of course)? Knowing that for sure I'll calculate 3 members instead of only he and I.

Besides me, my husband do not support any other person, and he and his dad are the owners of the apartment where he currently lives, but his father and mother live in Puerto Rico.

Why do you have to go back? Why don't you stay and file to adjust? If you adjust, you would not be separated from your husband for 6-12 months.

The household count is 3. Your husband as the sponsor must count himself, you, and his child. A minor child is always counted.

I wish I could stay in US during the process, but I got an scholarship from my country and I have to report to them and spent some time back there, "to pay it back" the money that they gave me. If I do not report, I will have a debt and I will need to pay all the money back. Since the process for the K-3 (or the IR-1/CR1) will take a while I expect to acccumulate some time there.

Thanks for your reply, I thought that it will be 3, but I just wanted to make sure.
