I feel bad, cause many dominican have done many fraud to go usa, and that affect people that try to go usa legal.

I try to go legal with a fiance visa. The problem is that for the interview the petitioner has to be present here, and my fiance can not come here in a couples months.

There are peoples in other country that go to rhe interview alone, but here in the dominican republic they want to see the petitioner.

It is a shame by the bad dominicans .

My fiance is american his parents are american too.

I hope that the day of my interview, i be lucky.

My fiance isnt latin , he is pure american i hope that the officer see that my relation is true.

I am going to go alone , trushing in God.

God is powerful,i trust in him.

My fiance can not come back this year and at the begin of year he is very busy on his job he can not leave from his job.

So i will go alone and God will help me:)

I am praying for you. I understand what you are saying. It just like some people use B-2 visa, get married, and adjust their status (AOS) in US make many people like me very difficult to get one even though I was purely wanted to visit my then-boyfriend (now my fiance) in US.

My fiance actually will come when my interview take a place in Jakarta. Since he is in the military, he has to do many preparation before leaving. That's why we really do carefully planning things in order otherwise we ended up in trouble.

I've never heard or read about a visa being granted in the DR without the petitioner present. Tu prometido tiene que estar presente porque sin el no te aprobaran. At best, you could hope for an open "cita" but they could also refuse the visa outright. I repeat HE HAS TO BE THERE to even hope to be approved!

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

I'm so sorry to hear this . I am in the same situation with my fiance. He lives in the DR and we are just waiting on the response to our RFE , but my congress man is positive it will be approved.

I'll have to buy a ticket just foe that day of the interview and come back the next day because of my situation I can't b out of the u.s for more then 2 days. Its going to be expensive, but it'll be worth it.

unless you want a denial do not go alone. In DR it is mandatory for both to be interviewed...
