how long does it take to get the instruction letter post approval?

No, nothing. They only ever tell me "it can take up to 90 days." We are at 27 days post-approval now.

Okay we got our letter today via email -- well, it was just an email from the consulate saying we need a 2nd medical, a new solvencia and for him to send his passport. Unfortunately the first available medical exam date is in two weeks -- but hey, that's better than 2 months!!

I've been emailing the consulate every week since we were approved -- I emailed them (for the third time) on Monday with an attached copy of our I797 and said "look, it's been 4 days short of a month since we've been approved. Please send the instruction letter so we can move on with our lives." The next day they emailed me and said they mailed (to me) the instruction letter but also told me we need 2nd medical, solvencia and for him to submit his passport and we'll be all good.

I'm HOPEFUL the issuance will be quick after the meds are submitted.

That's good, I gonna try the same because is taking so long and the waiting is so hard.
