But Danno, have you ever posted anything positive about black people, at all? Because even when we are not the topic of discussion, you bring it to our doorstep, even when it's your people or someone else doing the crime?

I read the story about the Black kid looking for a family (to adopt him) and it touched me so I posted it in the hope that someone might respond to him or pass it on to someone who might.

Yeah I know it got dragged sideways but that was not my intention and if you read the first page or so, you will see I tried to resist the attacks.

For the record, very few stories here are positive, it is just the nature of news and contentious people.

Do a thread search in this forum. Aug 28th of this year I posted 3 positive stories dealing with black people in honor of my birthday. With you laser focused vision on anything negative about black people, you should have been the first to say something positive about it. Hell, NB did it in every thread. Yet you were absent. In the story about the 9 year old who drove her dad to the hospital, nothing from you.

Maybe you wouldn't get attacked if you didn't try so hard to paint us as there horrible people all the time. I mean, Janelle posted the story about the hmong shooting, which had nothing to do with us, at all. And you turned it into a topic of black culture. Either lay off or get active and help out.

I focus on that destructive portion of the Black community, for some reason you keep including yourself in that group.

Because unlike you, I don't have a choice. I don't sag my pants or have gold teeth, I still get pulled over and asked if I have drugs or weapons in the car. I speak proper english, I still get spoken to in slang. I listen to all types of music, I still get asked to explain why rap is so vulgar. I work for a one star general, I still get asked to beat box at my job. I come in early and leave late, I still get pegged for "black people time"and all blacks are lazy. I'm polite as can be and a gentleman, women still cross the street when they see me coming. I hate the n word, I still have to condemn it and explain why other blacks can say it.

As a black man, I don't get to shed my skin color because I act normal. People can't tell the difference between the two, to them all of us are bad, in some way, shape, or form. This is why Trayvon Martin is the most dangerous person in 2013. White teens that committed mass murder, no one would dare take a shot at them out of some weird form of respect. But TM? That dude has been drug through the mud and then some to this day. Folks celebrated his death, made targets out of his image, video games and apps, all to degrade him, and yet when some white teen lays waste to a school, you won't hear a peep. Don't make me George Zimmerman you, they say. Don't get TMed they say. It's disgusting. It's the reason why the majority of black people can relate to him, myself included. We are all TM, because what happened to him could happen to us. Don't need a hoodie or saggy pants, ask the 66 year old black guy who got shot at 17 times while smoking a cig in front of his house.

There are so many articles of respectable black people who get pulled over in suits and ties, getting treated worse than gang members. Being the better person doesn't stop it. To them, we all look alike.
