I remember as a kid that "big time wrestling" was a sport and now they call it "sports entertainment". I've recently felt like some of the big news outlets should be called "news entertainment".

I listen to NPR some but the pledge drives get on my nerves, lately i get most of my news fill from BBC World and BBC NA... and of course right here in the Current Events and Hot Social Topics forum.

I agree that Fox appeals to a broader demographic, there are plenty of young teabaggers out there...Oh and the new phrase I like..."Tea Party Terrorists"

I used to really like Chris Matthews on Hardball about 12 years ago. He seemed pretty fair back then. I guess that doesn't get ratings, so now he's trying to be the Bill O'Reilly of the left. Ratings and opions are more important than facts now.

There was a line in the Breakfast Club about that. I forgot exactly how it went. Something about being inevitable that you turn into your parents when you grow older. Unfortunately, both of my parents are govt. leeches, so I hope someone shoots me first as well.

Kinda funny. My dad is RWNJ x10. I actually saw him proudly wearing a Michael Savage hat a couple years ago. He's allegedly Mr. Conservative, yet he timed it just right so that when his 99 weeks of unemployment ran out, he could start collecting Social Security. Sometimes I wish we still talked so I could point out the hypocrisy of that.

ETA: my mom is a bleeding heart left wing commie.
