The "Certificado de Soltería" is an affidavit where you state that you're single and legally able to get married. You need to get that notarized and apostilled. Then your fiance needs to make the affidavit and apostille translated to Spanish in Colombia by an official translator. The same for the divorce decree.

So does the 'certificado de solteria" needs to follow a format or I just write something like:I___________, certify that i am single and legally able to marry my fiancee________ and so in? the divorce decree I can just send it to her and she gets the translation done in Colombia?

You don't need a specific format. I know your birth certificate and affidavit of being single need to be apostilled, but I'm not sure about the divorce decree. I would say yes, it does too, but it's better if your fiance get that answer directly from the Notary where you both are getting married. All the documents have to be translated by an official translator in Colombia.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Hello,

I had to get one to marry a mexican citizen. You can get this document at the county register. They will make you fill out a short paper and you have to pay i believe around $20.00. It will come to you by mail. They basically do a search for your records from XXXX to XXXX years. Just tell the clerk what you need it for. Hope this helps.
