My fiance said she had an interview today at 7:30am Manila time... It is now 9 hours later and I have gotten no response from her... she does not answer the numerous phone calls I have attempted... no text messages made to me...

What do you make of this...?

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

sorry, my time is off... it's been 6 hours... does it normally last this long...?

The interview is not that long. The waiting time it is. I had interview for my B-2 visa a few years ago. I was at embassy 6 AM in the morning and left around 2 PM. I am not sure about K-1 visa interview but waiting time is the reason why it takes so long at embassy.

If you don't mind me asking Girl from Celebes... what exactly were you waiting for...? Was the wait before or after the interview...? and does the appointment time, in my fiance's case 7:30am mean anything or would she still have to wait perhaps beyond 7:30am just to get to the interview..?

received a troubling email from ustraveldocs.com... I had sent an email to see if my fiance arrived at her appointment this morning. The headline of the email says

Case -2013-10-16-xxxxxxxx has been Closed

The number however does not match the MNLxxxxxxxxx received in the approval letter to arrange the interview appointment. Should these numbers be the same or will it be a different case number for the interview..?

I'm really confused right now as to what's going on... could she have cancelled the interview... or.... something happen to her before.getting there..?

This was the email sent...

"Thank you for writing to US Visa Service Desk.

In regard to your query, we do apologize for the inconvenience, please try to contact the applicant and inquire if she was able to attend the appointment. If not, you may try to contact us again to reschedule the appointment.

Please note that electronic devices such as mobile phones are not allowed inside the embassy premises. "

Can someone in the know help me here...?

Really worried now...

An Update... just received a call from my fiance...dancin5hr.gif it's been 8 and a half hours since the interview appointment... and the great news is she has been approved and she is safe at home...good.gif she left her cell phone at home...

Thank you for your prayers and putting up with the house worry wort...

I remember my interview day. Left home early, got in the embassy at 6am. * My appointment was 7:30 am *

The line for K1 visa got inside the building by almost 9am, and gosh darn it the line was sooo long.

And then i was one of the people left in the building before closing time, I finished my interview at almost 4pm.

It was tiring but i went home with a happy face.

It depends. My appointment was 7:30 and I was done by 10:30 :)

July 13, 2013 = Arrived in the U.S. (Port of Entry: Hawaii)

August 3, 2013 = Got married!

August 29, 2013 = Mailed application for Adjustment of Status

September 7, 2013 = Received NOA1

October 1, 2013 = Biometrics done.

November 20, 2013 = Scheduled interview.

December 2, 2013 = Green Card received! The letter said they approved my application on Nov 22.

NOA 1 = Sept. 7, 2014

Biometrics = October 1, 2014

Interview = October 20, 2014

Green card received = October 22, 2014
