Hi all,

I just got the letter for our scheduled interview, can anybody who had it already or they are going to have it, confirm

us the followings:

1) The received letter is called "Request for applicant to appear for initial interview" (why "INITIAL"?It sounds we might have a second one)

2) Almost at the beginning of the letter there is a NOTE, at the end of this note it says "We may record or videotape your interview". (All the letters contains this "standard" phrase?)

3) When it says "You must bring the following items with you, please use as a checklist to prepare for your interview",

Do you suggest us to print a checklist to bring with us at the interview regarding the docs to bring in?4)

4) The requested docs are listed, in the list they mention AGAIN some docs already submitted, plus "All documentation establishing your eligibility for Lawful Permanent Resident status" (What's documents are talking about?)

5) They also require "All travel documents used to enter the USA" (Do they mean copies of the air tickets as well)?

6) Do you REALLY took with you at the interview besides the originals, copies of all documents requested? For example, would you make photocopies of all Federal Income Tax return for the past 3 years? (We submitted to Chicago Lockbox

just the latest Federal Income Tax return)

Thanks to all VJ people who might reply giving us suggestion, personal experience, info.

It's just that as everybody we're sick 'n tired of all this silly and repetitive process............................

Thanks again!!!!

Initial means that they can interview you at any time after while you have your conditional card, and the can interview you at the time that you lift conditions.

It is advisable to have copies and originals of every thing sent since beginning this process, they can and do ask for anything, don't assume that if you sent items in to them with your petitions that they will have them on hand at the interview. It would be a pain if they ask for something and you left it home assuming that since you sent it that you don't need to bring it.

I am keeping copies every document, and receipt related to our case in a file, to bring to the interview(s).

This is the standard letter and you should take as much proof as possible - generally they seem to look at only a couple of things - the most common being the I864 (support stuff) and proof of living together. Don't worry, its a piece of cake for most people. Good Luck
