I am so worry, because my fiance can not come this year to santo domingo, because he has came two times this year , he was here on april and on september.

And cause he job he can not come back here.

I need that someone help me, i dont know if he has to be here in santo domingo obligatory or i can go to my interviwer alone.

Has somebody gone alone here in santo domingo alone to a interviewr for fiance visa k1?

The interview won't be this year anyway. I filed in March 2013 and my interview is for January 2014. I believe the fiance has to be there.

it is mandatory for your fiance to attend the interview. if that does not happen your will be denied.

Where does it say it is MANDATORY that you both have to attend the interview?

I've known people who attended the interview alone and were given a ticket for when the petitioner could go they both could return together. None were denied but it did delay te timing being that the petitioner needed to be there. After such a stressful process I would not take any chances. Besides look at timelines for DR the majority of us getting the appointments have been scheduled for January 2014.

Anjos is right, for SD both parties need to be present, or else they will give you this ticket and an "open cita" for when both would be present. They wont denied it but it will take longer cause now you have to wait more.

Tell him to take at least a sick day or something. I came back to work from maternity leave and that was the first thing I told my boss it was that I was going to take time to go to the interview.

Good luck!

There are country that the fiance goes alone to the interview but here the dominican do many things wrong, and now the people that make the things right have problem
