Impeaching him would be incredibly stupid, IMO. The accusation that the GOP is more interested in opposing Obama than getting things done has gained a lot of traction, and if they impeach him over something the majority of Americans think is squarely on House Republicans' shoulders, I think they'll be in for a nasty surprise come midterms.

Here's how it works.

The Constitution requires the President to pay the public debt of the United States. If he doesn't (default) then he has committed an impeachable offense.

If he pays the debt in absence of a CR from the House, he is violation of a law passed by Congress. Also an impeachable offense.

We were talking about politicians in the House of Representatives moving forward with impeachment, not random protestors. I would think we can at least agree that there is a huge difference there... also, that there is a huge difference between a political stalemate over the debt ceiling and war.
