Hey, I just spoke to the NBC where they are handling my I130 and they told me that at the moment, they are working on October 2012. I sent my I130 on February 2013. Thats a lot of time, toooo much time. We basically have about 4 or 5 months before they get to my papers. THATS CRAZYYY. Should I cry or should I laugh?

ranting33va.gif ? dancin5hr.gif ?

I am in the same boat, filed in February, NOA1 Feb 26th. I called in several times, the last time I spoke to them was 3 weeks ago and they told me it is taking about 9 months. Since the case is already passed the normal 6 months period they told they will send out an email to NBC to get a status and I would receive a letter on the mail with an update! Has anyone ever been told this?

I filled my I130 for my husband in Feb 11, 2013 and still waiting. I have called numerous times to the customer service line and they kept telling the same thing that since am a US Citizen my application was going to stay in the NBC and not transfer to my local USCIS Office (Atlanta) and to keep waiting. Well I got tired of waiting so I faxed my congressman a authorization form to inquire about my case. He forward me a copy of the email that he received from the NBC saying that my case was transfer to MY LOCAL office (Atlanta) since March 14, 2013 and it was still pending. Last time a called (last Monday) I submitted a service request on my case and they are suppose to reply before Oct 23 (I hope they respond). Am so tired of this waiting mad.gif game I just want my husband back with me in the states. If I don't hear anything before my 9th month wait (Nov 12) I will be scheduling a Infopass and driving to Atlanta (5hr drive) to get some information or something....

Got curious to see if shutdown was going to have an effect or not..It's not business as usual - SLOW!.

So I just got off the phone with Tier 2 to see if we were forwarded to local of in Phoenix. She said ours was still in Missouri and processing time was averaging 9 months. I think she just added a couple of months to our NOA(NO Action yet)1 date.

Bozhe Moi! February filers have left me with a sense of hopelessness, but I'm fortunate to fly back and forth to see my wife. Wish the US citizenship process was as quick and easy as Georgia's (2 months and I was dual citizen) submitting a four page Microsoft Word application :D Just wish I could bring her over just for a visit and spend more time together while we are waiting :( Sorry for venting the depressed emotions received from reading the posts :P

No need to apologize. You're absolutely correct and have every reason to vent. The United States immigration system is broken and a complete joke. European countries respect the rights of their citizens to be with the ones they love and don't put them through the ringer just to be together, not suspecting they're all trying to commit marriage fraud.. And I too hate how I can't just bring my wife here to visit me a little. It's so dumb and makes my blood boil. Thank God the federal government can't stop us from going over to Europe.

I called USCIS today the answer was that they were checking october 2012 applications now :'(

They are not and it's just an utter BS.

This only means they still have I-130s pending that were filed in Oct 2012.

We've been seeing approvals from Jan, Feb, March, April and even May lately.

There is another workload shift going on (just announced, posted above) so let's hope it will help. Also, files transferred to local field offices are expected to be adjudicated by the end of Oct. (as per recent AILA/USICS conference).

I would have to agree with this. My spouse and I filed in November 2012 and she came to the USA in July of this year...so whoever is suggesting that they are just getting to October is full of c*@p.
