MAYBE, just maybe, those reps saying that theyre currently working on oct 2012 i-130s were just looking at these stats:

I dont think processing times are updated so maybe they just read whatever info they could see in their screens and tell us just for the sake of having an answer to our inquiries.. It stated there that i-130 (for spouse of USC) - oct 22, 2012 (it's from VSC though, like i said its not updated since uscis doesnt even have i-130 processing time listed under NBS yet.

I dont know, just my opinion. I may be wrong.

Im March Filer NBC.. i spoke to Tier 2 2 weeks ago and told me that the normal processing time for I-130 is 8 to 10 months..

thats what they told to my husband when he called..they are working for october 2012 filers and was asking for another 6 months before they get to our file..we filed our case May 2013

If they are working on October filers how come we can see some Jan, Feb and March approvals? I I do not blame them anyways when they practically receives tones of same questions on daily basis, they now respond to inquiries before thinking.

if you will check the website, it shows that they are currently processing oct 2012 filers the green card holders will only have 5 months to wait for their spouses, children under 21 years old or parents. https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do

nw its more thn 8 mnths and 1week and we r still at initial review

i dnt may be bec of shut down local offices r closed thts y thy r delaying my file to be approve.

last mnth we took an info pass and the officer at field office said tht it will take 30-60 days and nw it gonna 50 days

dnt knw in ths mnth we will get noa-2 aur nt

All petitions transferred to local offices are expected to be adjudicated by the end of October.

That's really quite depressing. Is this true??? They're processing green card holders in 5 months now, or is that only because those holders are "current" or something? Can someone please shed some light on the whole green card holders getting processed faster than citizens now??? So dumb...

Don't believe what they say. They answer whatever comes in their mind at the time. I filed in March 2013 and got approved in October. Ask your senator or congressman to move your petition to field office. Don't give up.
