The Embassy emailed me two weeks ago to say it would take four weeks from date of receipt to process our forms and issue an interview date. They received our forms on Sept 6th making this week six, and no sign of a date.

Anyone else in the same boat?

I would contact the embassy, on their website it says: "It takes approximately 6 weeks for forms to be received and registered on an individual applicant’s file from the date on which they are mailed to the Immigrant Visa Unit. An interview will not be scheduled until the Imigrant Visa Unit is in receipt of all of the forms required to process the application and a medical examination. If it has been more than 6 weeks since you submitted the forms and attended a medical examination with the panel physician, please contact us using the Visa Contact form."

Yes I am in the same boat and also received that email about the same time, it's now 6 weeks post medical :( I just emailed them again.... The wait seems to be getting longer and longer, I am sure when we first started this process the wait seemed to be 2 weeks post medical you got an interview date for about 4 weeks after that.

Yeah, I believe we are at our 7th week. They received our papers on Aug 27th, and logged all except the DS 2001. Our last Ceac Update was September, 16th. Our DS-2001 has still not been logged, and we still do not have an interview. Its very disheartening and upsetting for us, and is starting to feel we've been completely forgotten about.

Thankyou Nancy108. It has been an age and I am feeling really down right now.

I just emailed them again..my biggest concern right now is that my medical was done back in May and I can't get an answer out of them about whether or not I need to repeat it.

Yeah, I expected only a 2 week wait as well. I am at 7 weeks now, still waiting.

Friday is your 6 week mark so they have until then to assign an interview date and still be within their estimated timescale. As per the instructions for the medical, "In general the medical examination is valid for 12 months and the chest X-ray for 6 months but can be shorter"

Lemon maybe re send ds 2001 as that happened to someone else on here even though the form was signed for it was never logged and then they re sent it and got a interview date shortly after .you could put a cover letter explaining why you are re sending it. Maybe it will help.

So sorry you guys are still waiting I know how it feels .your time is comming,I know it doesn't feel like it but it will all fall into place .it wouldn't hurt to contact the embassy though.

The waiting game sucks but it's worth it in the end

Better not be no damn 6 week wait. We put on the forms we were aiming for a Halloween wedding, that's already out the window.

November 14th, 2013: She's here!

December 12th, 2013: Picked up marriage license.

December 14th, 2013: Wedding

I don't know how the scheduling changes for spouse visa vs fiance (we are going for a spouse visa), but it took 4 weeks for us to get our 1st interview date. We missed the interview, got a notice asking about rescheduling, and got our next interview date about 3 weeks after the first.
