Motorcycle License?

Hi all,

Firstly, the good news - got approved 1.5 weeks ago, and now have my visa in my hand! Moving to KY next week...

I've been reading up on this topic for some time now, and all I seem to find is conflicting information. Can anyone confirm that I'll be able to ride and/or drive on my UK Drivers license? I have a full UK motor cycle and full drivers license.

From my understanding, I can drive (no mention of riding a motorcycle though) up to 12 months on my UK license because I'm a non-US citizen and not a permanent resident yet, but when I become a Condition Permanent Resident, I should apply for my KY license and take the written test only. So technically, I can drive whilst I'm in process for the green card for up to a year... Is that right?

Looks like you can drive on your British licence until you get your green card through, but in the meantime you must have your documents approved (this is probably a legal requirement for part of the insurance).

Unfortunately, you will still need to take the written, eyesight and practical driving tests before you get a full KY licence. If it's anything like Hawaii's, it's MUCH easier than a UK driving test. No three-point turns required!

Thanks! Will this be the same for motorcycles? In the UK there is a clear distinction between the two licenses, as in the US.
