That is yes, thank you but I had a couple questions as well. Like whether I was meant to do fingerprints for the police clearance? I didn't see anything about that but I read people applying for the K1 were having to do It and it got me worried.

This forum is Feb spouse visa filers, you can ask questions there. I'm from Melbourne and yes you are supposed to do fingerprints for the police check. Download the form from police site and I'm pretty sure you can pay the fee and just go into certain police stations and they can do fingerprints. Not sure, but bottom line, yes you need to do before your interview.

When I got my police clearance from the Australian Federal Police, I didn't get one with fingerprints and it was accepted by the Sydney consulate. I was living in Perth at the time I applied for the certificate.

I emailed the consulate to be sure I didn't need fingerprints and they only sent me a link to their website as a reply and told me to follow those instructions. Below is the copy of the message I received from the consulate:

Thank you for your recent inquiry.

Depending on which Australian state or territory in which you reside will depend on how to apply for the Australian police certificate. Please refer to http://canberra.usembassy.gov/obtain_police_cert.html for further information.

Thank you
