Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

The first time I met someone named Fabio in Brazil I smirked a lil on the inside. The 864th time I started to take it seriously as a name.

Still ridiculous though...

Honestly, when I hear Fabio now, the model guy isn't the first thing I think of!

My name never appears on any list. It is Welsh and no one (apart from the Welsh) ever knows how to pronounce it, let alone call their kids it....

You can say that again! Larry already explained once and I've forgotten.:lol:

P.S. Sian...pronounced Sharn or Shahhhn. Depending on the accent. Americans have a problem due to the R sound. Makes it sound like Sharon....which it is nothing like of course!! :P

I agree that some names are stripper names....Destiny, Bambi, usually anything ending with a "i" And all these names like Brody, Cooper, sound like surfer names those kids will never grow up to be lawyers. Parents should really think of the names and how silly it sounds when they are adults. I also don't like trend names, who wants to be common....

My friend's wife wanted to name their baby Sunshine. He vetoed it based on "what if she wants to be Prime Minister?"

That is my rule. Will it be made fun of when they are president? Also, if you need to put pronounciation hints for it in brackets because the spelling is too "original", then don't do it. i.e Mykehnszei (prouncounced, McKenzie)
