so we got the letter requesting more info. Very frustrating. This is what we included on the initial submittal:

  • Copies of the passports and green cards
  • Copies of two years of tax returns
  • Original letters from my company of the designation of my life insurance
  • Copy of a car insurance policy
  • Copy of the title of one of our cars showing joint ownership
  • Copies of mail addressed to wife (green card holder)
  • Copy of our health insurance cards showing a joint policy
  • Copies of checking account statements showing a joint account
  • Letter from a friend

I was planning on sending the following this time:

  • Copies of our DL showing the same address
  • Copies of Tax Transcripts for two years with W2's
  • Letter from bank verifying that we share the same checking and savings account
  • Notarized letter from our landlord indicating that our rent covers all utilities and that is why I can not provide copies of utility bills

Is there anything else that would be recommended to include?

I was not planning on re-sending anything listed in my fist submittal. Is that a mistake?? Should I send items that were included in our I-130 from our wedding to the present?

The "joint" things that you sent, did you just send evidence of their existence at one point in time? They want to see bank statements, for instance, covering the whole period of your marriage.

What about joint lease?

And no, don't send anything you sent already.

5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

The "joint" things that you sent, did you just send evidence of their existence at one point in time? They want to see bank statements, for instance, covering the whole period of your marriage.

What about joint lease?

And no, don't send anything you sent already.

I did provide ...copies of checking account statements showing a joint account.

Joint Lease- I am sending the letter from my landlady. We do not have a rental agreement/lease per se. The letter indicates the amount paid for rent and how long we have been renting

Anything extra to show you guys are together will be good.Sounds like you have had alot of things.I have only lived with my husband for a month.So we did not have much.I just sent 3 affidavits and a copy of our first piece of mail together,and some pictures.Hope we dont get RFE's for that.

10.11.2013 Hard copies of NOA's received for all 4 forms without even receiving emails or texts although we filed G-1145

10.12.13 Biometrics appointment on 11/6/2013 Doing a walk in coz ain't nobody got time to wait one month idea9dv.gif

10.14.13 went to renew Drivers License with my NOA's.Got a permit.DL to be sent in mail within 30 days

10.15.13 Successful walk in biometric appointment

10.31.13 I485 Status changed to testing and interview while all the rest are still at initial review

11.27.13 (day 56) I-131 approved and on post decision activity while EAD is on card production #confused

12.06.13 the EAD/AP card combo arrived and was sent to my home country via DHL.I LEFT WITHOUT IT !!and i arrived in the US just fine dancin5hr.gif

01.27.14 Interview date in Oakland park,FL

"Copies?" How many months of statements, how often.

Teamswirly, it looks like you are just applying for AOS so nobody is expecting you to have a whole lot of evidence as a married couple. The OP is applying for ROC and at that stage you are expected to have good evidence of a shared life that covers the duration of the marriage. It is worth starting to collect that evidence now as that will be much easier than when it is time to file for ROC.

07/08/2011 - Trevor is now a USC - called USCIS to request upgrade of the petition.
08/02/2011 - NOA2
09/08/2011 - LND case number received, medical booked
09/26/2011 - Case complete at NVC
09/30/2011 - Interview date assigned
11/08/2011 - Interview - approved!!
11/10/2011 - Visa in hand
12/04/2011 - POE in Atlanta
12/12/2011 - SSN number received in mail
12/12/2011 - Welcome notice received
01/06/2012 - Green card received
09/06/2013 - File for Removal of Conditions
10/01/2013 - Biometrics for ROC
02/03/2014 - Card production email received

02/17/2014 - 2nd card production email received

02/28/2014 - 10 year Green card received
