Every Columbus Day, we're reminded of the difference between discovery and "discovery" — and rightly so. But let's not sell Europe short; after all, European explorers found plenty of diminutive islands that no human had ever seen before.

Actually this whole thing seems kinda silly.

The term "discovered" meant to them.... discovered to them.

I't like when you move to a new area and "discover" a great eatery or a reliable plumber.

As we venture into space I guess it is possible we could discover life on another planet.
